It takes a thief

This is an update to an earlier post about searching the web for people using my images.

There is a realtor here in Charlotte that had been using my Moon Over Morehead street horizontal images on the front page of their web site. I contacted the owner of the business about it. He seemed to understand my concerns so I sent him an invoice on licensing information.

My image was still on the website yesterday and today it has been changed to another image. Ok, so I don't get the licensing fee. No bigger. However, I started looking at the image and realized it was not an image of Charlotte.

I checked the properties of the image and saw that it was an image of London. I did a google images search and what do you know the image is on the first page of search results for that image. The image is located the British Embassies' website in Zagreb Croatia. The image belongs to a quite talented freelance photographer name Damir Fabijanic from Croatia. This is one of his exhitbits.

This aggravates me to no end. The realtor in question is developing a multi-million dollar project in downtown Charlotte. Ok fine, I don't get the business, but dont go continually stealing from photographers.

The website is www charlotte-home dot com. .

What's funnier about this is that the site home page has "Committment, Intergrity, and Trust" as links. In my opinion, someone who blatantly steals images like. this website has, certainly does not exhibit trust or intergrity.

Christmas Photos

Sean and I spent the evening working on our Christmas card.
Last year we took a photo of a poinsettia that turned out beautifully, but it's been a bit harder to come up with a new idea for this year's card.
We played with some of my decorations and came up with something we both agreed on. Actually there were a couple of good pics but we decided on something I took -- hee hee (of course my photographer husband helped with all the camera settings).
Anyways one of the things we played with was a silver reindeer that reflects EVERYTHING. We gave up on that idea but I decided to "posterize" it. Sean is not a big fan of this effect, but I happen to love it. What do you think?
