Well I made a sale yesterday to a company out of New York called BookBuilders LLC. The purchased a copy of a picture of Sweet Potato Pie" for a run in a 4th grade textbook called "Uniquely Carollina.
I got the lead for this sale from http://www.photoconnect.net. I have two galleries posted on their website. They had a request from a a reaserch assistant for pictures of North Carolina. Photoconnect is in the UK, so they forwarded the request to me on Sunday morning. They were looking for several pictures of things native to North Carolina. The pie was the only one I could do very quickly. I was able to shoot the pictures on Sunday morning and post them on my photography website http://www.photography.rivinus.com/gallery/bookbinder.htm. They reviewed them Sunday/Monday and I got a request for the limited rights to the picture on Tuesday. They ended up ordering 2632 for $100.
The only thing I don't like is that I have to invoice them in New York. I am interested to see if they actually pay it.
